What To Expect

Citicoast Church Resumes

What you can expect during this time of COVID-19 as we resume gatherings

Citicoast Church has two Sunday morning services.

1st Service – 9-10am

2nd Service – 10:30-11:30am
The children’s program runs in this service during the school term, breaking for school holidays. Check-in is from 10:15am in the back hall rooms. Our Citicoast Juniors, known as CJ, runs for children aged 2-Prep and Citicoast Kids, CK, is for students in Years 1 to 6. The Kids program runs for the length of the church service.

We ask that every person going into the church auditorium check-in at the front entrance.

Parents with children going to our CJ or CK program are to walk their children down to the back hall behind the church and have them checked-in at the appropriate signed rooms. Parents please check-in at the front of the church after you’ve looked after your children’s check-ins.

By Checking in you declare:

You do not have any symptoms associated with COVID-19 (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, sneezing/runny nose or loss of sense of smell).

You do not have COVID-19 nor are you waiting the results from being tested for COVID-19.

You have not been in contact with any known or suspected cases of COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

You have not returned, or been in contact with anyone else who has returned from overseas (or a high risk area) in the past 14 days.

This procedure forms part of our COVID safe plan, (Government Requirement) and all information given will be entered into our pastoral data base. Your information is recorded so we know the date and service you attended in the likelihood that we may need to inform you about any confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 infection at our place of worship. Individuals who are a confirmed or are a probable case of COVID-19 must notify Citicoast Church if they attended around the time of diagnosis or exposure. Please call the Church Office on 07 41532577.

You will notice that the chairs in the church auditorium are spaced apart. We have 1.5 metres between rows, however, we ask that you use common sense when sitting near those not part of your household. The regulation is that people of the same household may sit together and for everyone else to practice social distancing, whether in the church buildings or courtyard.

Thank you to those who have switched their giving from cash to direct transfer. You can still give cash if you prefer. Please place your cash in the envelopes provided and place in the RED SPOT giving boxes at your convenience.

As we are required to keep our church environment cleaned following services, we will need every person to exit the building, unless assisting with cleaning, via the side doors as soon as the service is finished. You are welcome to chat to people in the courtyard, however, please do not re-enter the church building unless you check-in again at the front entry.

It is important that all church members and visitors adhere to the 1.5 metre social distancing rule, practice good hygiene, refrain from handshakes and hugs and stay home if unwell.  If you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath and have travelled overseas in the last month please do not enter the church. Please go home and call 13HEALTH for advice. The 10:30am service will be streamed live on Facebook for your viewing.

Although there are many procedures that our church will need to follow during this time, we encourage you to come and join us in-person.  Celebrating is always better with others, not just on our own.  Let’s be #bettertogether!
